Today, we're thrilled to share an insightful interview featuring Dr. Jerry Root, a distinguished professor emeritus from Wheaton College, and a visiting professor at several prestigious institutions, including Biola University, Talbot Graduate School of Theology, and Moody Bible Institute.
For over five decades, Dr. Root has dedicated himself to the study of C. S. Lewis, one of the most influential writers of the 20th century, exploring the vast universe of topics related to Lewis's work. His journey began in his undergraduate days and led him to earn a Master of Divinity from Talbot Graduate School of Theology, and later, a Ph.D. from the Open University at the Oxford Center for Mission Studies.
Dr. Root's passion for teaching has seen him lecture at 78 universities across 18 countries, bringing Lewis's work to life for new generations. He's not only an author of many books but has also contributed numerous articles on C. S. Lewis and evangelism to various esteemed publications.
Beyond his academic and literary accomplishments, Dr. Root shares a beautiful personal life with his wife Claudia, to whom he's been married since 1975. Together, they have nurtured a family of 4 married children and have been blessed with 15 grandchildren.
